Universal Credit is replacing many benefits from 4 October - help is available from Stroud District Council
Labour Councillors want to make sure people know that there are changes to some benefits - and that there is help available.
Stroud District Council is reminding people that from 4 October, anyone who makes a new claim for a number of benefits (such as Housing Benefit, Income Support, tax credits, ESA or johbseekers allowance) or who have a significant change in circumstances, will need to claim Universal Credit instead.
