Working Together - Labour and Co-op Party Conference
Saturday 7 October 2017 sees Stroud Labour & Coop Parties working together to promote a FREE conference entitled WORKING TOGETHER - UNITING TO CREATE REAL CHANGE.
The Labour and Co-op Party Conference, held in the centenary year of the Cooperative Party and celebrating their 90 year collaboration with the Labour Party, will focus on the idea of 'Working Together'. We will be exploring how we can work together with the community, with the environment, with unions and with our elected representatives to create real change. David Drew will open the day, which will include a variety of workshops about the listed themes as well as exhibitions, entertainment and a keynote speech from Baroness Jean Corston.
Working groups will examine and seek solutions from active participation of attendees, with case studies being provided by local councillors and activists. Four themes will examined by eight working groups.
- Working together with the environment
- Working together with unions
- Working together with the community
- Working together with elected representatives (including from other parties)
