Stand up for Labour – Cheltenham, Thursday 12th September, 7:30pm (earlybird price £10)
Steve Day, the UK’s only deaf comedian, is a familiar voice on Radio 4 and has appeared many times on ‘You and Yours’. His intelligent and mischievious sense of humour has gone down a storm at Stand up for Labour shows in Watford, London, Northampton, Stoke, Burton, Wolverhampton, Brighton, Leek, Keele, Yardley, Tamworth, Smethwick, Erdington, Kettering, Mablethorpe, Upton-upon-Severn, Corby, St Albans, Nottingham and Crewe.
Lindsey Santoro hails from Birmingham (but don’t hold that against her). She recounts tales of her misadventures in life, all in her trademark down to earth, side-splitting style. She was a big hit with the audience at Stand up for Labour’s recent show for Stoke South CLP.
Patrick Monahan is one of the best banter merchants on the comedy circuit and his act has gone down so well with Labour Party crowds that he was winner of Stand up for Labour’s Act of the year. He also won ITV1’s ‘Show me the Funny’, in which millions tuned in and he won with an audience vote.
Hosting this incredible line up is Crispin Flintoff, who set up Stand up for Labour and has now organised over 250 shows in six years. Crispin was once a runner-up at the prestigious Hackney Empire New Acts competition and went on to appear on Paramount Comedy Channel’s ‘The World Stands Up’. He has also appeared on ‘Daily Politics’ and ran the ‘#JC4PM’ variety tour.
