Following the success of Labour at the General Election, we are now looking ahead to crucial elections in May 2025.
In Gloucestershire, we have all-out elections for the County Council where we are looking to field a Labour candidate in all 55 electoral divisions across Stroud, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cotswolds and Tewkesbury.
Labour councillors play a crucial role in representing local residents, undertaking casework, developing policy and holding the council to account on local service provision.
More information about being a Labour councillor can be found here: Standing as a Councillor – The Labour Party .
Being a councillor is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, serve the community and work with our new Labour MPs and Labour Government to deliver for local residents.
To apply to be considered to be a Labour candidate, please complete the attached application form and return it by 11.59pm on Wednesday 7 August 2024 to southwestlabour@labour.org.uk
