Wow! Thanks to our amazing volunteers, yesterday we delivered 2,935 leaflets in Dursley. Thanks so much to those who came out and helped, many of whom are not in the photos because they delivered in their own time.

We are lucky in having such a popular candidate to get behind. If you would like to help Trevor’s campaign, please leave a message on here or email cdblabour@gmail.com. #TrustTrevor

Trevor Hall has been selected as Labour’s candidate for next month’s by-election in Dursley.

Trevor, who has lived in Dursley and Cam all his life, formerly worked at Lister’s and Cam Mills.

He said: “I represented people when I was the shop steward at work and I look forward to representing people now I’m retired.

“I’m proud of what our Labour-led council has achieved in Dursley. It’s a town on the up, with new shops, new homes, new restaurants, The Pulse – and I want that success to continue.

“I will be a strong voice for local people, whether that’s campaigning to save the 62 bus or standing up for local businesses. People know they can trust me to stand up for them.”

Trevor hopes to succeed Alison Hayward, who resigned last week because she is moving away from the area.

He said: “Alison will be a hard act to follow. I know how hard she worked for the town, and I know how much she’ll be missed, both as a councillor and as a friend. I wish her the very best for the future.”
