I was born in Cheltenham, have lived in Stonehouse since early childhood, and am married, with 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
I am a retired electrical engineer and spent many years working on overseas projects. My main interests outside politics are ornithology and philately.
I have been a member of the Labour Party since the late 1970s, and have been a Stonehouse Parish and Town Councillor on several occasions, the last being in 2016.
During this period I became interested in the Javelin Park Incinerator Project at Haresfield, with a particular concern about the the environmental impact on the area.
