We need a new Government. One that puts the interests of people and planet first and operates with fiscal responsibility.

Labour’s  has a critical investment programme for our economic security and environmental safety. While there is a range of opinions within the Labour Party about how fast we can go, we all agree – we need this plan, and we need it quickly.

I will be pushing for us to get on with it, locally (with our community energy initiative in Stroud, for example) and nationally. Climate change can’t wait. The green economy is the only viable future. The Conservative Party doesn’t care, is still allowing oil and gas to be drilled, tolerates huge environmental damage, and panics whenever Nigel Farage opens his mouth.

We need to reset politics, urgently so we can shift gears on a fair transition to a sustainable economic and industrial model.
